‘Taralga Winter’ progressive dinner
The inaugural seasonal event produced as a collaboration between four local businesses went ahead on Saturday 16th July at 6pm.
Tickets sold like hotcakes a month or so prior to the event, billed as a moveable feast, with a special emphasis on the local truffle season produce.
20+ guests arrived at Orchard Street Gallery for a glass of ‘champagne’ a specially curated exhibition and artist’s talk by local artists and gallery owners Jo Morris and Bob Withers. Guests then braved the icy conditions to enjoy a glass or two at Brown Paper Wine, where husband and wife team Atti Malik and Richard Powell gave a rundown on their new venture and discussed local wines.
Next stop was Grand Ettie Café, where Brenden Gradidge and Chloe Smith had created the show stopping truffle based menu, and transformed the venue into a fantasy candlelit wonderland.
Luckily the final enticement was all downhill where Love Vintage Taralga host Amanda Sallybanks had turned her treasure trove of collectibles into an ice cream parlour, offering delicious flavours from Cow and The Moon in Sydney, and groovy tunes to dance to.
Watch out for the next event, which will be called ‘Taralga Spring’. No doubt it will be just as popular, but possibly a bit warmer!
