Art Show success
Hundreds of people came to town between Saturday 11th and Monday 13th June for the annual Taralga Art Show, this year celebrating its 20th anniversary after two years of cancellations due to Covid.
91 artists entered 299 artworks in a multitude of media, making the highest number of sales in the show’s history.
Even though the weather was cold and windy, there were non-stop crowds of people enjoying food, wine and art over the Queens Birthday weekend. Saturday night saw a packed-out Memorial Hall, where the official opening included an entertaining interlude by local cartoonist Warren Brown.
Visitors to the show over the weekend numbered close to 1500.
All proceeds went to the Taralga Progress Association.
